There is no greater commitment to nature than to ensure its care after you’re gone. Whatever legacy you create during your lifetime can continue, in your name, in perpetuity with a bequest to the San Francisco Bay Chapter through the Sierra Club Foundation.
Gifts In Your Will or Trust:
Bequests provide tremendous tax benefits because they are wholly deductible from an individual’s estate. Bequest intentions may be included at the time a new will is drawn, or added to an existing will through a simple codicil. See below for sample language to share with your financial planner.
If you have made a bequest intention to the Sierra Club Foundation, please let us know so we can ensure the bequest goes to the chapter. Providing us with documentation is the best way to ensure that your wishes are honored. Please note that if you do not specify the “San Francisco Bay Chapter” in your bequest, the chapter will not receive the funds.
