A seat is open for California’s 20th Assembly District — one of the most critical areas in the East Bay and spanning across three of our local Sierra Club groups. The leaders representing us in Sacramento will play a huge role in determining whether California meets its climate targets and achieves crucial environmental goals like protecting 30 percent of our remaining undeveloped lands by 2030.
Residents of AD 20 will have a chance to vote for their State Assembly representative in this year’s November 2022 election. If you want to know where each of the candidates stands on protecting our environment, come to our online candidate forum on February 3rd at 7 PM, co-hosted with Livermore Indivisible, 350 East Bay, and Castro Valley Citizens Climate Lobby!
You can submit any questions you have for the candidates when you RSVP to the event. Our town hall will also include live translations for our Spanish-speaking communities. We are pleased to have the following confirmed candidates:
Jennifer Esteen, RN
Registered Nurse

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear the candidates answer questions from local Sierra Club leaders and other community members fighting for clean air and water, wildlife and open spaces, and environmental justice.
We look forward to seeing you there!
