This Tuesday, September 8th, the Richmond City Council will vote on selling public land at Point Molate to a private developer for luxury housing. That means we have just six days left to save Point Molate.
There are two ways you can help stop this destructive plan:
First, send a message to the City Council today telling them to reject this environmentally destructive, inequitable, and fiscally risky proposal. Tell them that Point Molate should be permanently protected for all of Richmond — not a wealthy few.
Then, plan to join us at the virtual City Council meeting (by phone or Zoom) to speak out against the plan to sell Point Molate to Southern California developer SunCal. The meeting is this Tuesday, September 8th at 5:30 PM. RSVP for instructions on how to join and comment.
Point Molate belongs to the people. Don’t let the City Council take it away.
