Has your school district gone on record acknowledging climate change and committing to educate their students on this ever growing threat? If not, why not? Could it be that no one has asked them? Perhaps you could be the one who does (backed up by some supportive friends and neighbors, of course).
Come hear from folks who have engaged with their districts or are planning to do so. Understand how one district, Oakland Unified, which passed a climate change resolution in June, is working to ensure that its graduating students understand climate change and, most importantly, what they can do about it.
You're invited to participate in the next meeting of the Climate Literacy Committee on Saturday, December 1, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the SF Bay Chapter's office, located at 2530 San Pablo Avenue in Berkeley. See you there!
