Speak up for affordable Habitat for Humanity project in Walnut Creek

We invite you to come out and speak in support of a transit-accessible, affordable housing project! Habitat for Humanity has secured funding from the City of Walnut Creek to build 42 housing units for affordable to low- and moderate-income households on Las Juntas Way, directly across from the Pleasant Hill Bart Station. To get this project built we need supporters to speak up at a Walnut Creek Planning Commission meeting:

Thursday April 26 at 7pm
Walnut Creek City Hall
1666 North Main Street

This project aligns with Sierra Club’s support for affordable, dense, infill housing near transit in order to reduce emissions from vehicles, relieve pressure on sprawl development, and create sustainable and equitable communities. To learn more, contact julia.foote@sierraclub.org.
