Speak up for local clean energy on March 21

By Jessica Tovar

We urgently need people to speak to the board of East Bay Community Energy (EBCE), Alameda County’s new not-for-profit power program, in support of the development of local clean energy resources in the East Bay. The board needs to hear how local clean energy can benefit our communities with local clean energy jobs, economic stimulation, stable rates for electricity, and much more.

The program’s local development business plan is scheduled to be completed in April. We need to show the EBCE board and staff how critical it is to make decisions based on this roadmap to bring real benefits to residents. The board and staff have already allocated large savings for commercial businesses. We need to speak up for our families in Alameda County to build the program we need.

WHAT: East Bay Community Energy (EBCE) board meeting
WHEN: Wednesday, March 21, 6 pm (during public comment at the beginning of the meeting)
WHERE: Hayward City Hall, (across the street from Hayward BART)
RSVP HERE!

After you RSVP we will follow up with optional talking points for the meeting.
