Nate Craig - candidate for Mayor of Phoenixville Borough

Nate is advocating that Phoenixville create an Environmental Advisory Council which could potentially create renewable energy incentives for home owners, improve watershed and water runoff management, and invite renewable energy job-creators to Phoenixville Borough.

 Dianne Herrin - candidate for Mayor of West Chester Borough

Dianne shares the primary concern of global climate change with everyone and every community in the world. We also have a citizenry concerned about the use of pesticide sprays and weed killers; our storm water system is aged and not equipped to manage the substantial runoff that results from the increased precipitation interspersed by dry periods that is characteristic of climate change;  and we have soil contamination in certain areas of the borough, as well as significantly compromised streams.

 Bret Binder - candidate for PA Magisterial District Judge

 

Bret was previously endorsed by the Sierra Club in 2012, and is currently involved in community groups: Don't Spray Me campaign in East Bradford (dedicated to reducing spraying of chemicals for pesticide control) on the board of the Barclay Grounds Preservation Alliance, which is a group dedicated to preserving open space.

Mary LaSota and Robin Stuntebeck - candidates for Supervisor of West Goshen Township (2 seats open)

Mary and Robin are concerned about the health and safety impacts of (1) the Sunoco pipeline(s); (2) storm water management and compliance with federal and state laws; (3) outdated development and transportation ordinances that do not include goals for renewable energy use, native species, sustainability and use of low emission building materials.

Delaware County

 John Butler - candidate for Supervisor of Marple Township

John is concerned about issues with proposed developments in Marple which has limited open space remaining in the headwaters of Darby and Crum Creeks in our town. John is also an advocate for increased energy efficiency and increased renewable energy use by municipal facilities.

Bucks County

Ann DiCampello-candidate for Bristol Township Council

Ann is a lifelong Bucks County resident with two kids, she is also an active member of the Sierra  Club.  Ann has served on the Bristol Township Environmental Advisory Council for a number of years and wants the Bristol Council to be more environmentally oriented.  Ann has also led the RF100 campaign in Bucks County for our Bucks County Sierra Club.

 Kris Ballerini candidate for Upper Makefield Supervisor

 

Kris is a professional actress who feels compelled to serve as a supervisor.  One focus of Kris' will be to explore redevelopment of the historic area in Washington Crossing, and to also endorse all building maintenance and safety codes particularly related to some vacant property in the Washington Crossing area.  Additionally, Kris would oppose any pipeline infrastructure in Bucks County and would also support regulation making it easier to install solar PV systems.
