The Otzinachson Group of the Sierra Club held a Zoom program featuring Lauren Berutich, the Associate Director of the Great Old Broads for Wilderness, a national, grassroots organization, led by women, that engages and inspires environmental activism to protect wilderness. The Great Old Broads, along with the Sierra Club and other environmental organizations, were involved in the lawsuit to try to stop President Trump from reducing the size of Bears Ears and Staircase Escalante National Monuments. Lauren speaks about the organization’s priority advocacy campaigns that include wilderness designation, public lands legislation/policy, restoration of several national monuments, and habitat connectivity issues.
