Notice – Salt Springs Group Dissolution Vote
On December 15, 2019 starting at 1:00 pm ET the Sierra Club Ohio Chapter will be holding its next Executive Committee (ExCom) meeting via Zoom. At this meeting, the Ohio Chapter ExCom intends to have a formal vote dissolving the Salt Springs Group comprised of the following counties (Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana, Jefferson, Belmont and Monroe).
The Ohio Chapter ExCom has decided to hold a vote of dissolution for the Salt Springs Group for the following reasons:

The group doesn’t have a fully functioning ExCom

The group hasn’t held any elections for Group ExCom leadership for years

The group currently isn’t offering any outings, events, or fundraisers for members

The group isn’t currently sponsoring a conservation program, nor have they for years
-
The group isn’t regularly communicating with members
Upon dissolution, all remaining assets of the Salt Springs Group will revert to the Chapter. However, action to dissolve a group does not affect the standing of the individual members as members of the Sierra Club or Chapter.
Members of the Salt Springs Group are invited to attend the meeting to provide their views on the proposed dissolution prior to the vote taking place.
