As the end of the year approaches, we at the Sierra Club Ohio Chapter are prepared to fight harder than ever in 2018 to protect the Buckeye State from ongoing environmental threats. Irresponsible fossil fuel development and logging on public lands put Ohio's air, water, and wildlife at risk, and it's up to us to speak up, educate the public, and hold decision makers accountable to ensure places like Shawnee State Forest, Mohican State Forest, and Wayne National Forest will be around for future generations of Ohioans.
In 2017 our work on these issues included launching a lawsuit against fracking in the Wayne, working to preserve a pristine watershed in the Shawnee from clearcutting, and emplowering the public to take raise their voice in defense of wild spaces and endagnered species.
You can help us to continue to defend Ohio's most special wild places with a tax deductable donation. Because much of our work is done by local volunteers, even a few dollars can go a long way in helping us to fight for the places we love. Donate today to help ensure Sierra Club Ohio Chapter has the resources we need to stand up for our forests in 2018!
