All Hands on Deck to Protect the Great Lakes

All Hands on Deck calls upon water supporters in different cities to come together along the shores of the Great Lakes to show support for their protection. This event is going to involve people linking hands around the lakefront in their respective cities on July 3rd at 10:00am. All Hands on Deck aims to show how many people in Great Lakes states support and stand up for clean water and protection of our Great Lakes. It includes building non partisan support for legislation, regulations, and funding based on independent unbiased science to sustain the health of the world’s water resource. By unifying water organizations, water issues, water activists, water sports enthusiasts, and business owners All Hands on Deck can visually show a united front that increases awareness and actions to protect water.

We Need Clean Water for Everyone

All Hands on Deck aims to achieve the goals of uniting communities to raise awareness, pushing for a pledge of support from Members of Congress and State Legislators to protect the Great Lakes, coordinating a petition to engage citizens, and providing a platform through these organized communities to educate themselves about the science behind water issues.

The Ohio Chapter Sierra Club, along with the Green Ribbon Coalition and other non-profit organizations in the Cleveland area and across Ohio’s Erie Shore, will be participating in the All Hands on Deck event on July 3rd in Cleveland at Wendy Park on July 3rd at 10:00am. In addition, there are twelve other events in Ohio ranging from Avon Lake to Catawba Island. Don’t live near a Great Lakes shoreline? On July 3rd share a personal “water story” to raise awareness about the importance of water protection. Please consider joining us and taking a stand for clean water. Together, we can show our solidarity and support for one of our greatest assets in this region.
