Water Sentinels: What to do this winter?

In an effort to waste less, we ask you to please keep all of your test strip bottles as we will be restocking you with loose strips next year. Please properly dispose of expired calibration fluid and recycle the bottle. Make sure to store the meter inside, do not leave in your car or garage, a basement is safe to store, we just don’t want the meter to freeze.

It is not required for Water Sentinels to test during the winter months, but if you do, make sure to be safe, careful of frozen water, slippery ice, and always test with a buddy. Make sure to report data as normal.

This winter please keep an eye out for incidents of pollution. With a warmer winter this year, construction development has continued longer throughout the year. In the last month we have received numerous WARN reports. Remember to report incidents of pollution as you see them! Follow link to Water Alert Reporting Network.
