Volunteers Needed to Hand Out Primary Election Endorsement Cards

We need volunteers to hand out candidate endorsement cards during this year’s primary election! This is an effective way to support pro-environment candidates at the local and state level. Early voting starts Feb. 15 and runs through March 2, with primary Election Day on March 5.

As always, the Sierra Club plans to have a robust slate of endorsed candidates and we will be a presence at the polls as we distribute our endorsement cards.

You can recruit yourself and friends. Whether you are one of our many members who has volunteered at the polls before or you’re new to this effort, you can sign yourself up for shifts.  We have two SignUp Genius scheduling sites, depending on when you'd like to volunteer:

To sign up as as a volunteer:

  1. Click the above SignUp Genius link for the time when you'd like to volunteer.
  2. Look through the tabs across the top for the site where you'd like to volunteer, and click the tab for the site you want. (For early voting, you'll find them under "WNC 2024 Primary Early Voting"; for Election Day, you'll find it under "Election Day, March 5, 2024.")
  3. Scroll through the list of time slots under each site to find a time that will work for you. Click the green button that says “Sign Up,” then click the button that says “Save and Continue” that will appear on the bottom of the screen.
  4. Enter your name, email address and phone number on the next screen, then click “Sign Up.”
  5. You should receive an email confirmation with your confirmed shift and location.

Once we finalize our endorsements, we will reach out to all of our registered volunteers with more information about how they can pick up endorsement cards and instructions.

In the meantime, please reach out to Mayo Taylor at mayotaylor.sc@gmail.com or Caitlin Constantine at caitlin.constantine@gmail.com with any questions!
