Bent Creek-Arboretum Hike - Dec. 19

Hike on the Shut-In, Hard Times and other trails in the NC Arboretum!

This hike will take us up the Shut-In trail and down the Hard Times trail where we will take the Owl Ridge and Rocky Cove trail to the Bent Creek trail in the Arboretum, and back to our cars.

The total distance is 5.9 miles and 740 feet elevation gain. We will have the option to shorten the hike by continuing down the Hard Times trail and back to the cars depending upon the group choice and weather. The shortened hike would be 4.2 miles in length but with the same elevation gain.

We will start the hike around 10 a.m. and return by around 3:00 p.m.

Well behaved dogs are welcome on the hike, but must be on a leash. Families are welcome! Any children should be accompanied and supervised by parents or other adult family members.

If anyone is experiencing COVID symptoms, is still in quarantine after testing positive for COVID, is feeling sick, and/or has a fever, they should not attend this outing.

Please contact the outing leader to sign up, get directions to the meeting places, and to ask any other questions. Email Bill Snow at billsnow123@gmail.com or text/call 857-756-3815. We hope to see you there!
