TAKE ACTION:
- Protect OBX - Say no to Currituck bridge boondoggle: A boondoggle more than 40 years in the making is posing an imminent threat to the northern Outer Banks. Speak up now to oppose a water quality permit for the Mid-Currituck Bridge, an ill-conceived, unnecessary, very expensive proposal to cut through some of the most sensitive natural areas in the OBX. The comment deadline is March 31.
- Speak up for the monarch butterfly: The monarch butterfly is one of North America's most recognizable, iconic species. But their numbers in the West have dropped so low that they're near extinction, and in the East they face a high likelihood of going extinct in the next 50 years. The US Fish & Wildlife Service has proposed listing the species as "threatened" under the Endangered Species Act. Let's urge them to finalize that status - send in your comments by the March 12 deadline!
- Fight dis/misinformation about climate change: Help the Sierra Club share accurate information about climate change by joining our Climate Truth Tellers team. Team members will combat misinformation and disinformation on social media while amplifying positive messages. Learn more and sign up.
