The Western North Carolina Group, MountainTrue and the Collider got a full house for their screening and panel discussion in Asheville.

Guests at the Elizabeth City screening enjoyed appetizers as they caught up with friends - including local farmers who appeared in the film and county officials who attended.

The festive atmosphere was helped with live music from popular local performer Bobby Plough, who was invited by members of Green $aves Green, the event co-host.

A good-sized crowd enjoyed the discussion with (l-r) Pasquotank County Commission Chair Cecil Perry and the three North Carolinians who appeared in the film: Adam Forrer of the Southeastern Wind Coalition, Elizabeth City farmer Steve Harris and Elizabeth City farmer (and former county commissioner) Horace Pritchard. Phil Donahue (right), chair of Green $aves Green, moderated the discussion.

In Elizabeth City, NC Chapter staff got to say an in-person "thank you!" to Horace Pritchard and Steve Harris for their strong support of clean energy. Both have been enthusiastic advocates of the Amazon Wind Farm, which has turbines on their farmland. From left, event coordinator Susan Jones, coastal programs coordinator Erin Carey, Pritchard, Harris and communications coordinator Margaret Lillard.

Sierrans turned out across North Carolina to watch screenings of Reinventing Power, which featured the Amazon East Wind Farm in Pasquotank and Perquimans counties. The 50-minute documentary from the Sierra Club, Transit Pictures and A Squared tells first-hand stories of how clean energy is transforming careers, industries, communities and lives across the United States. It featured the Amazon East Wind Farm in northeastern North Carolina.
