State Legislative Action May Be Key, March 27 Lobby Day

2018 will continue to see challenges to our state, county and federal public lands. Look to the Sierra Club for information about protecting National Monuments, National Parks and other treasures.

At this writing, it certainly looks like Missourians will need to fight to keep our four new state parks. Some of that effort will be focused on state legislation. Unfortunately, there may be bills proposed to sell parks and curb further growth. We have park defenders in Jefferson City also who need our support.

Fortunately, we have a great state legislative committee which volunteers are invited to join. Contact Michael Berg at the Sierra Club office - 314-644-1011 - if you are interested. We will coordinate contacting our legislators and scheduling in district meetings. Also, March 27 is currently scheduled for Lobby Day at the state capitol.
