New Sierra Club Staff Hired to Focus on Public Lands
The challenging political and legislative climate we are in, requires that we redouble our efforts to protect public lands in Missouri. With that in mind the Sierra Club Missouri Chapter has hired Jennifer Conner as a part time organizer to focus primarily on threats to and protection of our state parks, federal lands and threats to the quality of those environments.
Jennifer has been an active Sierra Club volunteer in southwest Missouri. She has an educational background in science and past experience in pollution control in state government. Welcome to our staff team Jennifer. We volunteers look forward to working with you.
Congratulations to Gretchen and Brian And Hello to Betty!
If you have visited the Sierra Club office, or worked on the St Louis County Building code campaign, you have most likely been greeted by Gretchen Waddell Barwick's smile and invitation to get involved. Gretchen is a Sierra Club organizer working for the Missouri Chapter of the Sierra club.
Gretchen has been tirelessly leading our campaign to improve St Louis Building codes, Feb 8 was the day of the big public hearing before the building commission. But Gretchen had more important work that morning, as she and her husband, Brian, welcomed their daughter, Betty, into the world. We welcome Betty too! She looks just perfect.
