March 24, Thursday, 7pm. Native Bees: The what are they, why should we care and how can we help?
Presenter is Ed Spevak, Curator of Invertebrates at the St. Louis Zoo and Director of the Center for Native Pollinator Conservation (CNPC), will present this overview of native bees and their conservation. Of the many efforts underway, Pollinator Roadsides is a CNPC collaborative with Missouri Department of Agriculture, Missouri Department of Transportation and the Xerces Society.
April 28, Thursday, 7pm. Climate Change Solutions and Communication
The Eastern Missouri Group Sierra Club will be hosting a panel discussion on Climate Change, Climate Solutions, and How to Communicate Climate issues. The panel will include such notables as Don Corrigan a Webster Kirkwood Times reporter, Brian Ettling a Naturalist Park Ranger, Dane Kamin a Deliverables Team adviser with the National Sierra Club GP&E, Ken Schechtman a Washington University Professor. There have been many presentations in the past about climate change. This is a unique opportunity not only to learn about how to communicate climate, but also to discuss it and ask questions to leaders and professionals about how to talk with others about climate change.

The Paris Climate Conference was the most significant climate meeting in decades. It produced a historic agreement. But what was it like to be there as a student, advocating for your own future? Natalie Lucas and Ashley Wineland will share their experiences as Sierra Student Coalition leaders at the U.N. Climate Negotiations held in Paris in December.
