Mark Schuermann	Sue King

Volunteers are the core foundation of a grass roots organization like the Sierra Club. In 2015 we recognized two members for a lifetime of volunteer service to the Eastern Missouri Group. The members are Mark Schuermann and Sue King.

Mark has dedicated more than thirty years of service to the Club. Mark served on the Executive Committee for 4 years with one year as Chair, he has served on the Outings Committee for 25+ years. If you have been on an outing in the last 15 years or so, Mark has helped arrange the outing. Mark enjoys being the woods and has built numerous miles of trail, helped with glade restoration and trail maintenance and participated in Operation Clean Stream.

Sue King has served in many, many capacities in almost 35 years with the Club. Sue served on the Executive Committee and was the Chair of the Membership Committee. Sue has been an outings leader. Sue has helped in fund raising in many forms: calendar sales, merchandise sales and trivia night.
