Trail Crew Leader Needed

Seeking volunteer to take charge of trail maintenance on the Ozark Trail in the Pioneer Forest. The work area is on the 14 mile Blair Creek section of the Ozark Trail in Shannon County.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has proposed endangered species status for the Ozark hellbender throughout its range. We request your comments through the federal eRulemaking portal: www.regulations.gov before Nov 8. Please follow their instructions to submit comments to Docket No. FWS-R3-ES-2009-0009.

Your comments will become public information. The Ozark hellbender is especially endangered due to impacts on water quality from mining, fertilizer runoff and animal operations.
