Now that the cost of filling up the tank of even an economy model vehicle has soared to heights undreamed of even a year ago, many people are starting to think about possible alternatives that would lower their transportation costs. Have you considered getting to work by bicycle? Not only are bikes "green transportation," making zero contribution to air pollution, but they help you stay in shape besides!
The St. Louis Regional Bike Federation offers the following booklets to help you get started!
- "Tricks & Tips for Biking to Work"
- "Bike Parking for your Business"
- "Bike to Work Guide: Steps to Encourage Bike Commuting in the Workplace"
To request your FREE copies, send an email to info@stlbikefed.org. Or you can write to "Bike Commuting," 239 Spring Ave., St. Louis MO 63119, or simply call them at 314-707-5001. You can also download "Tricks & Tips for Biking to Work" at www.stlbikefed.org.
Think about it. Bicycle transportation is a winning strategy, not only for the air, but for your health and your pocketbook as well!
