Are you a new face at EMG Sierra Club who's looking forward to getting involved in our activities? Perhaps you have enjoyed going on Sierra Club outings but want to do more to help the club and get to know your fellow members in a congenial setting at the same time? Consider joining the Lemonade Brigade!
Our colorful booths at Fair St. Louis, the Festival of the Little Hills in St. Charles, and the St. Louis County Fair, with the bright yellow signs advertising our FRESH SQUEEZED LEMONADE have been staples at these events for many years! And our lemonade is, really and truly, FRESH SQUEEZED, prepared right at the booth, starting with real lemons, the best quality available. We insist our customers get an absolutely high quality product-none of that frozen concentrate for us! For TWENTY-EIGHT YEARS, fairgoers have looked forward to the taste of the real, old-fashioned lemonade they obtain at the Sierra Club booth.
But preparing our lemonade the old fashioned way does require extra effort. Volunteers are needed to haul supplies, squeeze lemons, and prepare and sell our refreshing product at these events. Not to mention the equally important task of setting up, taking down, cleaning up and storing of the booths.
All of our longtime volunteers agree. You can't beat the Lemonade Brigade for the satisfaction arising from good, productive work, the camaraderie of friendly fellow Sierrans, and the satisfaction of knowing your efforts keep EMG Sierra Club financially sound, with the resources it absolutely must have if it is to continue its work of environmental protection and preservation. Please join us! Call Jim Young, 314-664-9392, or the EMG office, 314-664-0890.
