Fourteen years ago this week, Enbridge caused one of the largest oil spills in North American history when one of its pipelines ruptured, releasing more than one million gallons of tar sands oil into Michigan’s Kalamazoo River watershed.
We invite you to take action to mark this grim anniversary and the urgent need to shut down America's most dangerous pipeline, Enbridge's Line 5 in the Great Lakes!
Join an emerging, growing international cross-border coalition on Thursday, July 25, as we participate in North American Oil Spill Day. Together, Canadians and Americans in the Great Lakes region will act in concert through decentralized actions to spotlight the continued threat to our families, waters, and climate from Enbridge pipelines.
Michigan locations include Lansing, Mackinaw City and Marysville. For more information and to RSVP, visit https://www.oilandwaterdontmix.org/events.
