On April 24, Oil & Water Don’t Mix and Groundwork will co-host a compelling, clear and multi-layered presentation on why a proposed Enbridge Line 5 oil tunnel under the Straits of Mackinac is a risky and false solution. Leading voices in the movement to shut down Line 5 will also explain why we cannot afford to wait to shut down the existing dual pipelines. A question and answer session will give you a chance to ask your own questions. Presenters will also suggest ways you can take action to help stop the proposed oil tunnel and help shut down the freshwater apocalypse-in-waiting known as Line 5.
Speakers include:
Dan Bock, Michigan Attorney General’s Office
Frank Ettawageshik, executive director of the United Tribes of Michigan
Brian O’Mara, geological engineer and 30-Year tunnel expert
Denise Keele, executive director Michigan Climate Action Network
Sean McBrearty, operations director, Oil & Water Don’t Mix
Ashley Rudzinski, climate & environment program director, Groundwork
