Camping Leadership Immersion Course Training!

Hosted May 20 - 21, the Camping Leadership Immersion Course (CLIC) Training is designed to provide leaders from youth serving organizations with the skills and resources to plan and lead a youth front country (car) camping trip. During the 28-hour Leadership Training, teachers and leaders practice front country camping skills and discuss how to use the outdoors as a tool for youth development. This training is a peer-learning environment for all skill sets - from never been camping to experts. We encourage multiple folks from an organization to get CLIC trained and certified.

Upon completion of the CLIC Training, participants gain access to a fully resourced camping gear library. In order to borrow gear, a certified CLIC leader will need to be present for the entirety of their planned camping trip (and thus why we encourage multiple folks from an organization to get trained). If you can't make it to training, we are offering another one July 15 - 16 at Kensington Metropark.

The training has a cost of $35 per person, which includes meals and camping gear. We will spend the entire time outside, sleeping in tents and cooking together! To sign-up or request information about CLIC trainings please complete this form -> https://forms.gle/UhFTkA7fZ1xBgBVh6

NOTE: RSVP in this Facebook event doesn't save you a spot for the training. You must submit a registration form and payment

Check out the Facebook event for more information and, while you are at it, take a look at the Youth Trips Outdoors hosted through YMCA Bold & Gold (and Detroit Outdoors)!
