Donations to support citizen engagement work, including citizen Lobby Days at the capitol and in district legislative work are not tax deductible but are vital to Sierra Club’s success. - Make a tax-deductible gift through the Sierra Club Foundation to help support the Michigan Chapter’s educational and administrative policy work, including litigation, forest biodiversity, water quality protection and energy. Donate to the Sierra Club Michigan Chapter online today. To give by check, make it payable to 'The Sierra Club Foundation', and be sure to write ‘Michigan Chapter’ in the memo section to ensure it is credited to the Michigan Chapter. - Make a Charitable IRA Rollover. For individuals 70 1/2 years or older, this can be done without incurring tax penalties and can be transferred to the Michigan Chapter via the Sierra Club Foundation.
