The Massachusetts Chapter has had a busy autumn! Most recently, we had the opportunity to co-sponsor a screening of “Common Ground”, the follow-up to the award winning documentary “Kiss the Ground”, at the Regent Theatre in Arlington. The film was an inspiring look into the heroes of the regenerative farming movement and celebrated the importance of food sovereignty and the benefits of agroecology, not just on the food we consume, but on our climate’s health.
The evening wrapped up with a panel discussion that included our own acting Chapter Director, Vick Mohanka, and then gave us the opportunity to connect and network with the full-house of approximately 200 attendees. The Massachusetts Sierra Club team of staff and volunteers are always excited to share our work, but the magic really happens when we have the opportunity to learn and discuss, as well. As we cautiously move towards in-person gatherings, we are moved by the energy and urgency of the moment and appreciate having the opportunity to participate.
Thank you Soil4Climate, Big Picture Ranch and Area 23a for inviting us to partner in this important screening. If you or your group would like to work together on events, please reach out to Vick Mohanka at Vick.Mohanka@sierraclub.org.
