Last year’s federal legislation should open the door to much stronger environmental action on the local level…but only if we seize the opportunity and work with

• legislators in Annapolis
• County Council members in Rockville
• the County Executive and agency leads
• and Planning Board members here in Montgomery County

to make the right calls on environmental policies and development efforts that not only affect us here, but can also be successful models for other communities to emulate.   

This will be a critical time, and we’ll need help from Sierra Club members and fellow environmentalists.   We invite you to volunteer or apply to join the Executive Committee
