Climate change is not a hoax. It's not a trick to get you to do things you don't want to do. It is a real and deadly disaster, and it's happening right now all across the world, and in our own country, and sooner or later it will hit home in our state with a ferociousness we can't even fully imagine.

     Your Lower Eastern Shore Group and the entire Sierra Club Maryland Chapter are at the forefront of the fight to mitigate the fatal effects of climate change. We need your help. Be a candidate for our LES Executive Committee and join the fight here. 

     You don't need any special training. You don't need any particular skill or talent. All skills and talents are welcomed. All you need to do is care about the future of your children and your children's children, and realize that your participation in the fight really does matter.  

     The deadline for submission is September 15th. Now is the time to get serious and get busy. The application to become a candidate for the November election is here. Please give serious consideration to throwing your hat in the ring, and join a truly great group of like-minded people who care about our common survival as much as you do.  

     Look around. Listen to the news. Wildfires burn up areas the size of whole states. Floods sweep through places that will never be the same again. Tornadoes rip through places where not long ago, there were never tornadoes there. Mass extinction of birds and other wildlife gets worse. Here is the application. What are you waiting for?
