Human/Nature chapbook

We are pleased to announce that this fall (2019) we published our first ever chapbook, Human/Nature, released to coincide with our art show of the same name. We are excited to be working with Irvington Vinyl and Books on this project.

To purchase a copy of this chapbook for $5, please email rebecca.dien-johns@sierraclub.org.
All profits from sales go directly to supporting your Sierra Club chapter here in Indiana.

In addition to the poems featured in our chapbook, we are pleased to present these pieces from Indiana writers Julie Stewart, Greg Schwipps, and Kirby Lee Hammel, on the Human/Nature theme.

The cover features Garfield Park at Dusk, by Indianapolis artist Allen Bannister.
This piece can be seen at our current art show, Human/Nature.

The chapbook features poetry from:

Shannon Anderson
Brianne Bowman
Lisa Devon
Carolyn Everett
DeMaris Gaunt
Gant Haverstick
Janice Hibbard
Hannah Hubbard
Juliette Lowry
Lylanne Musselman
Linda Neal Reisin
Grant Vecera

Writers were asked to consider the following in their work:

How do we as humans interact with and impact nature, both positively and negatively?
How does the natural world affect us?
Can spending time in nature help us heal?
How has our relationship with the natural world changed?
Do we have a disconnect with nature, and has this been detrimental to our lives... and our planet?
Where do we go from here?
