Changes at the Chapter
Hello to all of our wonderful members and supporters here in the Hoosier State!
The past 2 years working with the Sierra Club Hoosier Chapter have been full of so many amazing experiences - and some of the best have been getting to know all of our incredible staff and volunteers. In my first year, I was so moved by the work I saw being done that I decided to serve on multiple national tables to help further the strength of Chapters across the country. That experience then moved me to apply for a new position within Sierra Club that would allow me to bring my knowledge and passion to multiple states in the Midwest, while still serving on the Indiana team. I was informed earlier this summer that I had been selected as the new Deputy Regional Field Director in what I am referring to as the Heartlands - Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Wisconsin - and I am thrilled to be able to continue this work alongside all of you.
So that means we are now looking to hire a new Chapter Director here in Indiana! If you or someone you know is interested, you can find more information and the application here. I look forward to this new phase of growth with the entire Indiana team and appreciate all of you for your support and your dedication to making Indiana a place we can all explore, enjoy, and protect.
With so much gratitude,
Amanda Shepherd
Acting Chapter Director
Hoosier Chapter launches PAC!
We are pleased to announce that the Sierra Club Hoosier Chapter has successfully filed a state PAC!
This will give us the tools we need to help turn the tide in this state to elect environmental champions to state and local offices.
Please consider donating to this PAC.
