The Heart of Illinois Group Board has voted to join in efforts with a new Climate Change Committee under the auspices of the Peoria League of Women Voters, initiated and lead by John Brady.
HOI has adopted a statement of support and encouragement for the Peoria League of Women Voters. We will cooperate with the League climate change efforts, including publicizing activities and events. And we plan to meet and work together to encourage local government efforts against climate change. This would initially be just the City of Peoria but could expand to other governments based on the size of the League of Women Voters climate change committee.
