Your Heart of Illinois Group Sierra Club needs volunteers for upcoming environmental projects, including researching the city waste hauling contract proposals; monitoring plans for construction of the Cell 3 at the City County Municipal Waste Landfill; and helping represent HOI at various city and county committee meetings. The Illinois Chapter Sierra Club has opportunities for new member engagement and activism with Monarch Butterfly action; student engagement training; and ‘Ready for 100’ projects to work toward 100% clean energy.
