CAFO Tricks of the Trade Fact Sheets inform readers of tactics used by CAFO owners, animal and egg processors, CAFO support organizations, and sometimes even the state regulators to reduce National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit requirements or evade permitting altogether. These maneuvers limit the ability of neighbors, local government, and all affected populations to regulate the ravages of the unchecked proliferation of CAFOs and CAFO pollution.

  • Agmandering -  involves manipulating physical boundaries to favor one group over another (in this case, proponents of CAFOs over neighbors/local communities).
