Volunteer with the Political Committee and Help Us Win Big in 2024!

The Sierra Club's political program focuses on electing environmental champions through non-partisan, grassroots political action.  The principal goals of the program are carried out by our all-volunteer Political/Legislative Committee and local volunteers across the state who work to:

  • Elect candidates who will support and promote environmental protection;
  • Hold elected officials accountable;
  • Raise the visibility of environmental issues in electoral campaigns; and,
  • Strengthen the Sierra Club's capacity to elect pro-environment candidates at every level of government.

**Additional endorsements may be forthcoming, so check back often.**

Our candidates remain committed to supporting Sierra Club priorities, including:

  • Expanding the amount of and access to renewable energy
  • Reducing pollution in our state
  • Protecting our sensitive wild spaces and vulnerable populations
  • Standing up for the principles of Environmental Justice
  • Working to secure a healthier and safer environment

*** NOTE: Chapters endorse separately from the Sierra Club national organization. Endorsements on the National level do not necessarily represent the position of the Chapter or vice versa.****
