Rejuvenation of Key Chapter Conservation Committees

by Kate Bartholomew, Chapter Chair and Ellen Banks, Chapter Conservation Chair

In light of the release of the latest U.N. IPCC report on Climate Change, we are going to be looking for ways to revitalize key Chapter Conservation Committees that have been less active or inactive in recent years, especially those most crucial in our struggles to address the threat of the looming Climate Crisis. Some of the specific committees we are focusing on are the Beyond Fossil Gas and Oil Committee, the Environmental Justice Committee, the Farm and Food Committee, the Nuclear Committee, the Transportation Committee, the Water Committee and the Wildlife and Wilderness Committee.

To be a member of any of these committees, you must be a Sierra Club member in good standing (in other words, have your dues paid in full). If interested in any of these issues, please send an email to atlantic.chapter@sierraclub.org.
