It’s been a true honor serving as an At-large Delegate for the Atlantic Chapter these past two years and I hope to continue in that role and expand my contributions for another two years with your support.

Since 2008, I have been actively engaged in fighting fossil fuel extraction via high-volume hydrofracking and all it’s associated ancillary environmental assaults. I currently serve as one of the triumvirate Co-Chairs of the Atlantic Chapter Gas Drilling Task Force, and am also a member of the Energy Committee and the Beyond Coal Committee.

My home group, which I chair, is the Finger Lakes Group, named for an area rich in natural beauty and resources. Currently, the Group is engaged in a lawsuit over proposed water withdrawal by the Village of Painted Post for use in gas extraction in Pennsylvania. This highlights the direction I feel the Chapter will be forced to look to when resisting gas extraction: infrastructure build up and out.

Overall, I believe that all our efforts, ultimately, must be focused through the lens of climate change/impact. If that isn’t the fundamental context, our efforts will be moot.
