Chapter activist Helen Slottje wins largest environmental prize

Attorney Helen Slottje, a member of the Atlantic Chapter, has won the world’s largest award for grassroots environmentalists, the $175,000 Goldman Prize. With her husband David, partner in their Ithaca-based pro bono law firm, she has helped enact fracking bans in 172 communities across New York in the last five years.
