Carl Arnold has been working on the hydraulic fracturing issue for over five years, both upstate and down, is a member of the Atlantic Chapter’s Energy Committee and Gas Drilling Task Force, and represented the chapter at the first conference of chapter chairs/vice chairs in San Francisco last May.
He has given speeches at rallies, lobbied in Albany and New York City, written and edited articles and flyers, co-wrote the first legislative bill to ban fracking in April 2010, been interviewed on radio and cable TV numerous times, and helped organize forums and screenings to publicize the impossibility of allowing further development of fossil and nuclear fuels to threaten our lives.
As Vice Chair of the chapter, he works closely with Chair Jeff Bohner to encourage the Chapter ExCom to function ever more efficiently.
Carl is also in CDOG (Chenango Delaware Otsego Gas Drilling Opposition Group) and the Green Party.
