About the Finger Lakes Group

The Sierra Club Finger Lakes Group is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and helping our members enjoy nature, both locally and globally. Our group's territory includes the southern portion of the "Finger Lakes" region as defined by the "I Love New York" tourism website.  The northern portion is the territory of the Rochester Group.  The Finger Lakes Group has about 2,000 members and is a subset of the Sierra Club Atlantic Chapter, which is the statewide organization located in Albany. We are all organized under the National Sierra Club which is headquartered in San Francisco, California.
