March for a Clean Energy Revolution - July 24, 2016

On July 24, the day before the 2016 Democratic National Convention, the Sierra Club — alongside our fellow environmental friends, activists, and citizens — will gather in Philadelphia to march for a Clean Energy Revolution!

Climate change is one of the key challenges of our time as rising global temperatures threaten to uproot communities around the world -- half measures and gradual progress won’t do. Instead, we need decisive action to protect current and future generations. We need a Clean Energy Revolution.

With the nation's spotlight on Philadelphia as it hosts the Democratic National Convention, we need a massive turn-out to make it clear to policy makers at all levels of government that we do not want more dirty fossil fuels and nuclear power. We want to transition to 100% renewable energy starting now!

By standing and working together, New Yorkers were able to ban fracking and defeat natural gas infrastructure buildout (the Constitution Pipeline, Port Ambrose LNG port, just to name a few of our most recent victories). However, fracking is taking place in other parts of our nation and around the world. Moreover, fossil fuel infrastructure and dirty nuclear power plants continue to be built and operated. New York Sierrans need to join the march to show that we can achieve a 100% renewable and sustainable world if we continue to show up, speak out and work together to demand the kind of energy policy that we want and the world needs.

We hope you’ll join us at the March for a Clean Energy Revolution in Philadelphia on July 24 - RSVP here
