New York is closer than ever to reaching 50 percent of our energy coming from renewable sources by 2030 and your voice is critical in making this a reality.
Just recently, Governor Cuomo took an important step and set a target for 50 percent of New York’s energy to come from renewable energy sources by 2030 and this wouldn’t have been possible without grassroots pressure from people like you!
Right now, the New York Public Service commission is in the process of establishing a new ‘Clean Energy Standard’ that could make this target a reality. But it’s on us to make sure the new standard has real teeth and will double down on renewable energy, setting New York firmly on the path to serious climate action.
What you can do:
- Send comments today: Tell Governor Cuomo and his Public Service Commission that you support an enforceable Clean Energy Standard!
- Testify at a CES Hearing: RSVP to one of the 10 public hearings in NYS! (There are hearings in the evening, but also afternoon hearings. See here for the PSC official announcement of all hearings times. (pdf)
