Bobbie Josepher retires after 25 years of serving the Chapter

After 25 years of service to the Chapter, Barbara (Bobbie) Josepher has retired as our administrative coordinator. Chapter Chair Jeff Bohner presented her with a plaque at a recent meeting of the ExCom. The inscription includes a quote from naturalist John Muir, founder of the Sierra Club:

“There is a love of wild nature in everybody, an ancient mother-love ever showing itself whether recognized or no, and however covered by cares and duties.”

Over the years, Bobbie has prevented the Chapter from missing key deadlines, put out fires, served as our institutional memory and generally provided newbies with advice on how to get the trains running on time.  Among other things, she’s been the Sierra Atlantic’s ace proofreader. Hopefully, by the time you read this, we’ll have persuaded her to join us in a new, more leisurely role, as one of the those of unpaid volunteers who keep the Chapter humming.
