Despite a challenging landscape on multiple fronts, Sierra Club’s Environmental Law Program (ELP) won a string of victories this summer, including blocking the illegal construction of Trump’s border wall.
 
Our attorneys and partners had three big wins on pipelines in one week, as the Atlantic Coast Pipeline was canceled, a federal judge ordered that the Dakota Access Pipeline be shut down while a new environmental review is conducted, and the Supreme Court dealt another setback to the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline. These wins are changing the national narrative on oil and gas projects.
