Arroyo Trabuco from O’Neill Park to the Pacific Ocean

Over the years Helen and Ed Maurer have led long-distance hikes in Europe along ancient Pilgrimage routes in France and Spain, across the Alps in Switzerland, and along the Rhine in Germany.  This fall and winter join them for a South Orange County long-distance hike measuring 34 mi. that we’ll cover in five segments from October to February.  The first 4 hikes are out and back whereas the last ends at Dana Point Harbor from where we return to the trailhead by public bus.  All 5 hikes are part of the Wednesday Hikes organized by Orange County Group of the Sierra Club.

October 20, 2021: O’Neill Park to Mission Viejo, ca. 8 mi.
November 17, 2021: Mission Viejo to Las Flores, ca. 6 mi.
December 15, 2021: Las Flores to Ladera Ranch, ca. 5 mi.
January 19, 2022: Ladera Ranch to San Juan Capistrano, ca. 7 mi.
TBA: San Juan Capistrano to Dana Point Harbor, ca 8 mi.
