We won’t let L.A.’s recycling plan get trashed
Sierra Club joined more than 200 activists in early March to urge L.A. city leaders to maintain a new recycling plan for apartments and businesses.
The Angeles Chapter has been part of Don’t Waste LA for more than seven years to advocate for clean air, zero waste and healthier communities.
Foes of the plan are mounting a ballot initiative to dismantle the recycling program that went into effect this year.
The Chapter is working hard to underscore the value of the public-private partnership that aims to help divert 1 million tons of waste from landfills every year, eliminating more than 2 million metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions.
