You can help save Banning Ranch in Orange County

Dear Angeles Chapter Members and Supporters,

Banning Ranch wildlife need your protection!  Sensitive habitat is being threatened once again in Orange County, we urge the Coastal Commission to help save the habitat and wildlife on Banning Ranch!

Sierra Club calls for the following actions:

1. Permanently halt the Major Vegetation Removal.

2. Ensure permanent restoration and protection of degraded habitat.

3. Discourage future habitat destruction by imposing appropiate fines and seeking on-site mitigation at a ratio of at least 3 to 1.

4. Address unpermitted well drilling and require habitat restoration.

The Sierra Club Banning Ranch Park and Preserve Task Force (BRPP) is dedicated towards the preservation, acquisition, conservation, restoration and maintenance of the entire Banning Ranch as a permanent public open space, park and coastal nature preserve.

Please sign the Banning Ranch petition to the California Coastal Commission:

You will help protect and preserve the finite resources at Banning Ranch and put a permanent end to unpermitted habitat destruction.

This issue will be heard by the Coastal Commission on March 12 at Chula Vista Council Chambers 276 Fourth Street Chula Vista, CA 91910.   We are encouraging all who can attend to be there to help protect and preserve this important area.
