State Representative #1, District 2
Besides Greg Hartman’s seven years in the Coast Guard, he has served 34 years in the Fire and Emergency Services Departments and recently retired as a Deputy Fire Chief. He has 20 years of experience in management and strategic planning and served as a section chief in the planning division of the Urban Search and Rescue Team. His top legislative priorities are full funding of education, passing and maintaining a sustainable budget, and creating jobs. His top environmental priority is to work for safer, cleaner ways to promote America’s energy independence. He sees our country exiting the era of carbon-based energy and entering the era of clean alternative energies like solar and wind power, which are already reaching grid parity around the world. He wants Washington State to continue to be a leader in alternative energy policy by putting our time and resources into creating new, long-term jobs that protect the environment of our beautiful state for our future generations.
