State Representative #1, District 29
Rep. David Sawyer was first elected to the State House in 2012 with the endorsement of Sierra Club. He is now a law student and works at Ladenburg Law in Tacoma. He has extensive knowledge of local politics and community organizing. A strong supporter of mass transit, in 2013 he sponsored a transportation bill that would help fund public transportation. It was reintroduced in 2014 because it is a serious option for the House to consider as a part of broader strategy to fund public transportation. It is still a bill that hopefully will be reconsidered next session. In 2014 he co-sponsored HB 2347, enhancing safety of oil transportation, a vital environmental bill that did pass the House this year. Rep. Sawyer has a strong environmental voting record and should continue to serve. Vote for Sawyer.
